All Saints Central has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, All Saints Central was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Deckerville. All Saints Central has not had much luck with Deckerville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Au Gres-Sims waltzed into their game Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 50-35 victory over Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy. Au Gres-Sims' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Analeis Ming and Sophie Fox were among the main playmakers for Au Gres-Sims as the former scored 20 points along with seven steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. The game was Ming's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelaide Bauer, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
All Saints Central's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Au Gres-Sims, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
All Saints Central strolled past Au Gres-Sims in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 43-25. Does All Saints Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Au Gres-Sims turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
