The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Amherst County as Jefferson Forest made off with a 74-53 win. The victory was just what Jefferson Forest needed coming off of a 68-40 defeat in their prior contest.
When it comes to explaining why Amherst County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cheyenne Wall. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmena Awanda, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Jefferson Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Amherst County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson Forest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Amherst County, they will take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
