Graden Pontius Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, South Callaway got the W thanks in part to Graden Pontius playing the best football he has all season. Pontius rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 40 yards and a touchdown.
The victory was the fifth in a row for South Callaway, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Pontius and South Callaway will venture away from home to take on Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Wright City had to settle for second even though Dayton Humphreys put up the best numbers he has all season. Humphreys rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Wright City's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. Humphreys and Wright City will face off against Montgomery County on Friday.
