The Berwick Panthers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 30-22 victory over Eunice. Given Berwick's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Eunice is ranked 295th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Azyria Garrison was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 15 points, 22 rebounds, and 10 blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Berwick's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Bosman, who scored 5 points along with 6 steals.
Berwick's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Eunice, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Berwick will face off against False River at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. False River comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Eunice, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Port Barre at 6:00 p.m.
