8A District 12 recap October 1, 2013
Miramar added to the longest winning streak in 8A District 12 this week by beating Western, 49-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The Wildcats lost to Miramar 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, McArthur's Janarvis Pough and Damian Richardson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Pough has thrown for 380 yards this season, while Richardson has 9 catches for 140 yards. Cooper City's Jarrett Morgan leads the league in rushing yards with 276.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Flanagan takes on Everglades. As it stands, the Falcons are in second, while the Gators are in third.
Flanagan led 8A District 12 in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on the Mustangs.
