Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Sandhills Titans should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Trinity Christian at 7:30 PM. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win.
Sandhills Titans were able to grind out a solid victory over East Columbus last week, winning 20-13. No one had a better game by the numbers than junior Donnell Melvin, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They steamrollered Metrolina Christian Academy 48-7. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Trinity Christian had established a 35-7 advantage.
Their wins bumped Sandhills Titans to 2-1 and Trinity Christian to 3-0. We'll see which team can carry over they success and which team inevitably falls when Sandhills Titans and Trinity Christian clash.
