The Pendleton County Wildcat will face off against the Lewis County Minutemen at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pendleton County comes in on five and Lewis County on three.
On Friday, Pendleton County made easy work of East Fairmont and carried off a 14-6 win. Considering the Wildcat have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Baylee Beachler and Susan Vincell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Beachler tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Vincell struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. At bat, Beachler scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Vincell went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jessica Parker and Lizzie Alt did most of the damage at the plate: Parker went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Alt went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Parker hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Lockard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Pendleton County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Fairmont only posted a batting average of .269.
Meanwhile, Lewis County gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Philip Barbour 5-4.
Lewis County's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Oldaker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Pendleton County pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Lewis County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
