The St. Johns Classical Academy Lions lost against the Christ's Church Academy Eagles back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. St. Johns Classical Academy was outmatched by Christ's Church Academy at home and fell 76-31. St. Johns Classical Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-12.
Jackson Hadden was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds for Christ's Church Academy. Hadden hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Aiden Simms, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
St. Johns Classical Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Christ's Church Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-15.
St. Johns Classical Academy will be playing at home against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Christ's Church Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against First Coast Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. First Coast Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
