Justin Mendez posted a new career-high in RBI on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Ruidoso: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-13 otherwise.

Coming up, Mendez and Ruidoso will host New Mexico Military Institute at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mendez had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in April 10-9. If he drops another game like that, the outcome could be different this time around.
