After a string of 11 wins, the Legacy Christian Academy Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Urbana. Legacy Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Urbana apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Urbana to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexandra Dixon, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Dixon hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Peyton Mounce, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Legacy Christian Academy's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2. As for Urbana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Legacy Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Dayton Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Urbana, they will be playing at home against West Liberty-Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (West Liberty-Salem is ranked 164th, while Urbana is ranked 169th).
