The Penns Grove Red Devils suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 65-44 loss at the hands of Cinnaminson. While losing is never fun, Penns Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Cinnaminson is ranked 75th).
Penns Grove's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Giomar Conrad, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Willie Slocum, who scored nine points.
Penns Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Cinnaminson, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Penns Grove will head out on the road to face off against Clearview at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cinnaminson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP Cooper Norcross at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
