The Chickasaw Chieftains and the Thorsby Rebels squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Chickasaw Chieftains had to settle for second. Chickasaw was beaten by Thorsby 50-16. Chickasaw has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Chickasaw took the loss, they still got scores from Jamarion Osborne and Kyree Shakur.
Thorsby's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grayson McManus, who threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Coden Cummings, who gained 96 total yards and three touchdowns.
Chickasaw now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Thorsby, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Chickasaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thorsby will take on Reeltown at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Reeltown will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
