Calvary Chapel Academy will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Palm Bay on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Pirates 20-7.
Calvary Chapel Academy got a massive performance out of Miriam Stuart, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Angelina McMackin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Master's Academy entered their tilt with Oasis Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 15-4 win.
Nola Matz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Alison Viersma was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Elyanah DeCosta was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Master's Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .314 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Calvary Chapel Academy's record is now 7-11. As for Master's Academy, their record now sits at 16-4.
Calvary Chapel Academy suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to Master's Academy in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
