The Desert Christian Eagles can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They really took it to St. David for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-34 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Desert Christian who now have six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonathan Brown, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Adam Valvala was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight assists and six steals.
Desert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for St. David, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Christian will take on San Manuel at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. San Manuel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Desert Christian is ranked 114th). St. David won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Baboquivari knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully St. David likes a good challenge.
