They strolled past the Brindlee Mountain Lions with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-43. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Elkmont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mckenzie Doner out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Doner has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nyla Parker, who posted seven points in addition to 16 rebounds and four steals.
Elkmont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 31 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games.
