Volleyball Recap: Olentangy Wins Going Away Against New Albany

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centerville, Olentangy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the New Albany Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Olentangy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-15.

Chloe Hammes paced Olentangy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hammes got some help from Alivia Franzel and her 22 assists. Franzel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Olentangy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for New Albany, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Olentangy and New Albany will both be playing Olentangy Liberty the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Braves will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
