It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hannibal had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Parkway Central Colts 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Marissa Falconer paced Hannibal's offense, picking up 23 kills. Falconer got some help from Aly Falconer and her 32 assists. Brooke Hess controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Parkway Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tessa Wall, who had nine digs and two aces, and Avery Smith, who had six digs and one assist.
Hannibal's victory bumped their record up to 28-9-1. As for Parkway Central, they moved to 23-12-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.
