Basketball Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Somerset Academy Losee won the last time they faced Somerset Sky Pointe, and Roderick Johnson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Somerset Academy Losee Lions came out on top against the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles by a score of 64-52 on Monday thanks in part to Johnson, who posted 25 points. The match was his tenth in a row with at least ten points.

Somerset Sky Pointe's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmitt Bell, who put up 19 points and four steals. Bell has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ja'Cory Gory, who scored 19 points and seven rebounds.

Somerset Academy Losee pushed their record up to 12-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, their record is now 10-14.

Somerset Academy Losee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 85-33 win against Cheyenne on the 5th. Somerset Sky Pointe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
