Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Northside's Third in Last Four Outings

Northside won the last time they faced Dyett and things went their way on Friday too. The Northside Mustangs walked away with a 46-35 win over the Dyett Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

When it comes to explaining why Dyett lost, don't look at Keyanna Sanderson. Despite the final result, she posted 23 points along with eight blocks and four steals. With that strong performance, Sanderson is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Laniyah Mondie was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Northside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Dyett, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Northside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-43 defeat against Resurrection on the 11th. As for Dyett, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Dyett Eagles take on the Thornwood Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
