The Kenwood Knights will head out on the road to  square off against  the Kirkwood Cobras  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Kenwood came up short against Dickson County  and fell  50-42. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings  (they are ranked 307th, while the Cougars are ranked 150th).
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Sarai Townsend, who  posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was  Yazmine Pearson, who  earned 11  points.
 Kirkwood hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They enjoyed a cozy  51-37 victory over West Creek on Tuesday.
 Kenwood has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last eight games,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record  this season. As for Kirkwood, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.
