Meanwhile, Gadsden City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 45-32 to Parker.
Gadsden City's defeat came about despite a quality game from Destiny Whiteside, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. Whiteside scored a full 56.3% of Gadsden City's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Guntersville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Gadsden City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
