The Panguitch Bobcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 victory over Tabiona. That's another feather in the cap for Panguitch, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Panguitch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cache Eyre led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Eyre hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Osburn, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Panguitch's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Tabiona, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panguitch will take on El Capitan/Centennial Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Ethan Hammon and Eyre. As for Tabiona, they will be playing at home against Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Duchesne is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
