Baseball Recap: Beaufort Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Beaufort Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Battery Creek, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles never let the Dolphins get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Thursday. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Tucker Scoggins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

He is becoming a predictor of Beaufort Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't).
