Shepaug Valley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Terryville Kangaroos as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Shepaug Valley got a massive performance out of Rocco Smith, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Smith has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JP Knox, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Shepaug Valley pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Terryville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
