Basketball Recap: Academy at the Lakes Comes Up Short

Academy at the Lakes lost against Seven Rivers Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Academy at the Lakes Wildcats were dealt a 49-15 loss at the hands of the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Annalise De Beer was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 15 points, 19 boards, and 11 steals for Seven Rivers Christian. De Beer is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Macy Roth was another key player, as she made all 6 shots she took to post 12 points and five rebounds.

Academy at the Lakes now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Seven Rivers Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Academy at the Lakes will challenge Lakeland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Seven Rivers Christian, they will square off against Morningside Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
