Football Recap: Keystone Skates Past Kane with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Keystone walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Kane Wolves 56-7. Considering the Panthers have won six contests by more than 36 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Dom Corcetti, who rushed for 164 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 81 yards and one touchdown. His passing game has become a key predictor of Keystone's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-5 otherwise. James Rankin was Corcetti's top target, picking up three receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Keystone was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 267 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 193 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups.

Keystone now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Kane, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Coming up, Keystone will challenge Port Allegany at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Gators have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games. Kane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
