Mount Olive came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hanover Park Hornets a 4-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Marauders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Mount Olive's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Hanover Park, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Mount Olive and Hanover Park should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Marauders (ranked 34th) will meet Warren Hills Regional (ranked 250th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hanover Park will take on Morristown-Beard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (109 vs. 235).
