It was a good run, but the Gretna East Griffins unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 52-42 to Marian.
Mckenna Stover continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marian, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Elsa Vedral, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Gretna East's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Marian, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Gretna East's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lewis Central on December 16th. Marian will be home for the holidays to greet Papillion-LaVista at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
