The Mourning Sharks were the 67-49 winner over the MAST Academy Makos when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Mourning fell just short of MAST Academy by a score of 54-52.
Mourning's lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kristopher Jean-Jacques, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Omar Pigott, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals.
Mourning's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for MAST Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Mourning will head out on the road to face off against Dr. Krop at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for MAST Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Somerset Academy South Homestead at 5:00 p.m.
