Avalon was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Black Knights came in at 17 in the state poll after placing at number 137 last week.
Maryland School for the Deaf moved up to 25 from 196 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Capital Area.
6-foot-1 quarterback Ryan Smith of Options Charter is the league leader in passing yards this season with 994. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is John Hightower. The Riverdale Baptist star has 23 catches for 414 yards.
Chavez lost to Archbishop Carroll 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
