Jackson had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They took a hard 27-45 fall.
No one had a larger role in the success than junior Tate Rodemaker, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 331 yards and 4 touchdowns. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Jackson off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Valdosta a 1-0 record.
Next week, Jackson take on Therrell at 99 WAYZ Classic at 5:30 PM. As for Valdosta, they will face of against Tift County.
