The Avon Grove Red Devils will face off against the Kennett Blue Demons at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Avon Grove has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Avon Grove's last matchup with Bishop Shanahan could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Red Devils came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-6.
Aiden Kistler was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Andrew Simeone and Wyatt Holdren stepped up to the plate in a big way. Simeone got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Holdren went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Simeone has become a key player for Avon Grove: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Logan Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Kennett hadn't done well against Great Valley recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Blue Demons walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Demons.
Christian Scheibe tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rex Bright, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Santoro, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Kennett's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Avon Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-10.
Avon Grove's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Red Devils have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Kennett, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Avon Grove continue to outrun the ball?
Avon Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Kennett when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 11-8. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
