The Northwest Christian School Crusaders will head out to take on the Riverside Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest Christian School will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Northwest Christian School came out on top against Reardan on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Crusaders blew past the Screaming Eagles 7-1. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Drew Bevan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Caden Hollister was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Adin Spuler was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Riverside got the win against Mary Walker on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-1.
Luke Reedy and Austin Jenkinson were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Reedy struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Jenkinson pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Reedy a new career-high. At the plate, Reedy went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Jenkinson went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Riverside let Cody Wilson and Braeden Andersen run wild. Wilson went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Andersen got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Riverside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mary Walker only posted an OBP of .182.
Riverside's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Northwest Christian School, their record is now 8-2.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Northwest Christian School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .372. However, it's not like Riverside struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Northwest Christian School's way against Riverside in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Northwest Christian School made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
