The Narbonne Gauchos were the 22-21 winner over the Gardena Panthers when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Narbonne was the victim of a rough 28-3 loss at the hands of Gardena on Friday. Narbonne has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Narbonne's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-4 San Pedro (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.9% over those games). As for Gardena, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Narbonne will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Birmingham at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. One thing working in Birmingham's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five matchups. Gardena will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Palisades at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. Palisades will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
