The Chowchilla Tribe came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Riverdale on the road to the tune of 63-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chowchilla also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Ryan Deatherage was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Tristan Beardsley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Chowchilla has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Riverdale, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chowchilla will take on the Blue Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parlier has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
