For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tell City and Pike Central meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Tuesday. The Marksmen fell  6-1 to the Chargers. The Marksmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
 Tell City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Drew Greulich, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run.
Tell City's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Pike Central, their  win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-12.

Meanwhile, Pike Central is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Washington  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The timing isn't great for the Chargers: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home dating back to last season, while the Hatchets have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
