Granby has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on Springfield Renaissance at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Thursday, Granby came up short against Southwick Regional and fell 41-31.
Meanwhile, Springfield Renaissance put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 51-33 win over Lee.
Springfield Renaissance found their leader in underclassman Zi'yan Wallace, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 13 rebounds, and nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sy'Nye Baker, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Granby now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Springfield Renaissance, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Granby took a serious blow against Springfield Renaissance in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 66-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Baker, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. Now that Granby knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
