The Munroe Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lincoln, falling 66-25. Munroe was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.
Despite the loss, Munroe still got an impressive performance from Mya Mccullar, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Mccullar is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.
Munroe struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lincoln pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamiya Brown, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Jamia Brown was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Munroe has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Lincoln, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
Munroe will challenge Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Florida State University High School is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Leon at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Leon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Lincoln is ranked 106th).
