The biggest upset of the week belonged to Manchester, who took down 105th ranked Bowdon, 19-13.
Heard County extended the longest winning streak in AA Region 5 this week by beating Kendrick, 42-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Braves.
Temple's Elijah McFarland and Trevor Shell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McFarland has thrown for 257 yards this season, while Shell, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 11 catches for 178 yards. Duranta Dunson from Heard County leads the league in rushing with 303 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chattahoochee County takes on the Braves. The Panthers are in fifth place, while Heard County is in first place.
The Blue Devils moved up to 222 from 280 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AA Region 5. Manchester was able to make the jump by beating the Red Devils 19-13.
