Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but River Oaks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Tensas Academy by a score of 11-7. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on five straight.
Logan Laforge was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Laforge was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.

River Oaks' victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tallulah Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Everything went Tallulah Academy's way against River Oaks when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Tallulah Academy made off with a 26-3 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
