The Alta Hawks entered their tilt with the West Panthers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Alta strolled past West with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-43. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Alta has scored all season.
Leading Alta to victory were Carter Doleac and Jaxon Johnson. Doleac scored 15 points along with nine rebounds, while Johnson scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ace Reiser, who scored seven points.
Alta's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for West, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta will take on Olympus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympus knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matches -- so hopefully Alta likes a good challenge. As for West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East at 7:00 p.m. East is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
