The Armstrong River Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Perry Traditional Academy, posting a 64-19 win on the road. That 64-19 margin sets a new team best for Armstrong this season.
Isaiah Riggle was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jack Valasek, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals.
The win was the fourth in a row for Armstrong, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Perry Traditional Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armstrong will square off against Freeport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Freeport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Armstrong is ranked 155th). Perry Traditional Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Mifflin at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
