Curtis has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the West Ranch Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Curtis beat Emerald Ridge 61-51. Given Curtis' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Emerald Ridge is ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, West Ranch lost to Notre Dame Prep at home by a decisive 89-72 margin on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (60), West Ranch still had to take the loss.
Curtis pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for West Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
