Basketball Recap: Arosco Dubois Key Part of Team Effort in Trojans Win

It's playoff time, and Evans had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Bartow Yellow Jackets 73-50 on Monday. The Trojans have beaten the Yellow Jackets the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Yellow Jackets has come to flipping the script.

Evans got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Arosco Dubois out in front who posted 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Dubois has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rahean Edmonds Jr, who en route to 18 points.

Evans smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Despite the defeat, Bartow saw an underclassman step up: freshman James Ratteree to rack up 14 points and four steals. That's the most steals Ratteree has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Messiah Borders, who earned five points.

Evans' record now sits at 23-6. As for Bartow, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.

Evans has already played their next match, a 77-72 win against Edgewater on the 20th. Bartow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
