Covington entered their tilt with Arcanum on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They snuck past the Arcanum Trojans with a 43-37 victory. For the Buccs, this counts as revenge for the 60-57 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Arcanum still got an impressive performance from Lexy Gibbons, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 16 points. That was a full 43.2% of Arcanum's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matty Noe, who earned five points.

Covington has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Arcanum, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington will head out to square off against Riverside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Arcanum, they will venture away from home to face off against Fort Loramie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Loramie will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Arcanum surely won't give up without a fight.
