Football Recap: Casady Skates Past Luther with Ease

Casady's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 65-12 victory over the Luther Lions. The result was nothing new for the Cyclones, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Luther saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isaiah Zapata picked up 54 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 33 yards.

Casady's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Luther, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Casady will head out to square off against Hennessey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Luther, they will host Stroud at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
