The Waverly Central Tigers and the Cheatham County Central Cubs will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-43, which was the final score in Waverly Central's tilt against East Hickman County two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Cheatham County Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting East Robertson an easy 67-47 victory.
Despite their loss, Cheatham County Central saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tucker Proctor, who scored seven points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Jevin Adcock, who scored seven points.
Waverly Central bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Cheatham County Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
