After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leland, the Cadillac Heritage Christian Patriots were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 39-31 win over Grand Traverse Academy. This was payback for Cadillac Heritage Christian, who suffered a 42-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Grand Traverse Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Paige Bell, who scored nine points along with four steals, and Sadie Brown who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Cadillac Heritage Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Grand Traverse Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cadillac Heritage Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Mason County Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mason County Eastern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Cadillac Heritage Christian is ranked 176th). As for Grand Traverse Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Central Lake at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
