After three games on the road, Kennedy is heading back home. They will take on the Whitman Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Kennedy had to settle for a 67-65 defeat against Springbrook.
Meanwhile, Whitman humbled Wheaton with a 84-50 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Whitman.
Thomas Farrell was the offensive standout of the game as he went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 3 assists. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Curran, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Whitman, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Kennedy came up short against Whitman when the teams last played back in February, falling 63-57. Can Kennedy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
