The Wilton Warriors will square off against the North Haven Nighthawks at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Wilton sitting on six straight victories and North Haven on five.
With a playoff game on the line, Wilton rose to the challenge on Sunday. They were the clear victor by a 35-10 margin over the Panthers. 35 seems to be a good number for Wilton as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Wilton can attribute much of their success to Charlie Calabrese, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns, and Cole Stevenson, who picked up 157 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, North Haven faced Windsor in a battle between two of the state's top teams. North Haven didn't even let Windsor onto the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Sunday. North Haven might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six games by 21 points or more this season.
North Haven's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adam Pandolfi led the charge by rushing for 148 yards while picking up 9.3 yards per carry.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 10-2.
Wilton came up short against North Haven in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 14-7. Can Wilton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
